Frankenpours -> creative fades and marbles?

I haven't been on the forums much, but make a point of checking the Friday adopt dump when I can... and I've noticed something new. Instead of seeing tons of ugly solid-layered frankenpours, the adoption page is FULL of these gorgeous, unique marbles, splits, and fades. I've already succumbed once, ...

Bad Dragon + Flight Rising

I can't be the only one who thinks about this.

Any other FR users who have BD toys attached to a special dragon? Wondering who my Royal Dragon should be modeled after

Re: Introducing - Mini Sizes!

I am SO EXCITED about this. Its a little disappointing they can't do fades on the minis (maybe in the future?), but marble and highlight will tide me over for sure. I definitely need a Xar. I was so sad when I got the small and there was just NO way ti was going anywhere. Flint too.. Maybe I'll ditc...

Re: An ancient guardian returns: the Swamp Wyrm!

Its getting really tiring and disappointing getting excited about a new release only to realize you've made another toy too big to use, and I'll probably never see a usable length.

Looks fantastic otherwise.

Re: How can we support BD Labs releases that won't fit?

I'm actually extremely surprised that Nox hasn't gotten a full release, yet. We don't know how many customs are being made, but the Flops get snapped up like hotcakes and quite a few people are waiting for him to expand to a full release. From what I understand, he's been a popular Sinister Pumpkin...

Re: How can we support BD Labs releases that won't fit?

It is important for BD to quickly cut losses with a "losing" design, but if a substantial number of people are wanting to spend money on a design they cannot use (be it too big or too small), they may also be missing out on even more. I like the release speed of toys now much more, but it ...

Re: How can we support BD Labs releases that won't fit?

Flint is made to be a girthier toy, but I agree that all the one size toys are like :psyduck: Like...I want Nox and this new toy so bad but there no way I could fit it in there. That's true, I'm sure there must be people out there who like the short length but the big girth! So I'll just admire Fli...

Re: How can we support BD Labs releases that won't fit?

I know. Absolutely everything released in 2013 except Luka is too large for me. Makes me sad. Really want a small Nox. I would preorder it. Aye, it's not even the one-size toys that have been pretty big... The Seadragon revamp looks manageable, but Flint is 7" the whole way... Never going to h...

Re: How can we support BD Labs releases that won't fit?

If it were somehow possible to implement some kind of kickstarter-esque thing where money is pledged but not taken until release, that would be good. It would be a good way of assuring that people saying that they intend to buy are actually somewhat locked in so bd has a more reliable knowledge of ...

Re: How can we support BD Labs releases that won't fit?

Thanks, Ceo :> I like this idea. I would happily pay a deposit in full for a small of some of these models (Terra, Kippy, and the Equiknot especially). I'm sure there are plenty of users who would do the same for bigger sizes. I can how it would be troublesome for BD; some sort of untouchable, refun...

How can we support BD Labs releases that won't fit?

Wow, it's been a while. Life has finally settled down just enough that I'm starting to toy around with the idea of.. well, toys  It is so exciting to finally see BD Labs churning out designs, and the addition of experimental toys. And boy do they look good. But alas, all of the mediums simply...

Re: Turning down toys for looks instead of functionality?

Definitely. Much of the appeal of BD toys for me is the broad array of color options. I flat out ignore any toy that is a solid or ugly color. On the rare occasions I have obtained boring looking toys that I liked the shape of, I've sold them and 'upgraded' to a more flashy paintjob.

Returned from the void just in time to find an apparently fresh batch of flops and nabbed this incredible boy. I wasn't planning on buying anything but I could not resist.

Re: Bad Dragon Banter

Wooooow. I would love to take one of those bad boys home if it wasn't for the solid color stipulation. Guess I'll just have to wait and hope that it goes into actual production
