We can't get those sorts of pumpkins where I am... Mind if I carve a Butternut? A pumpkin's a pumpkin, after all! For the record: I know some people call them a squash, but we don't in this country. If I can't use that, I can try and find a whole Kent Pumpkin instead.

Hah, I'm in the same boat as you, although I must admit I did see Coles sell a stack of (probably stale) pumpkins under the guise of being for carving.

I think so long as it's carved, it should be fine :) The rules were pretty specific on not photoshopping or painting, but not the pumpkin genus lol :nerdy:

I already have a design in mind, just gotta wait for the grocery store to start carrying pumpkins larger than a decorative gourd!

I carved an unripe grapefruit once, since the ones we grew tasted like garbage. Never again, it was so messy :surprised:

They didn't say it has to be a dick; why not carve one of the characters?

So we're about to go away on holiday for two weeks.. That's two whole weeks that we're going to have dick o' lanterns bouncing around the inside of our heads, with no way of following through. We're going to be so frustrated that we might have to go all hitch-cock on those things when we get back. :crying:

Better yet, try parents! :stick:

Yes, I know, as has already been said, doesn't have to be explicit. But I would love if I could do an explicit one. But, since pumpkin carving is not something I can pull off in private, I guess I'll have to make it "safe"

Dunno if I'll have time for this, but bummed I missed the dress-up contest, so, I'll try to do this one!

That's where I'm at, plus I'm disappearing for 5 days soon as well. So I will probably be towards the end too. Hopefully I can do this through!

Plus I have not carved a pumpkin in years, so it could be "interesting" but I think that it will be fun to take part! Since the dress up contest was so much fun!
