Imitation is the Sincerest form of Flattery...I guess.

Postby Runa » Sat May 09, 2009 10:39 pm

Apparently Exotic Erotics have finally opened their doors! Check out some of their wares, and what poster-child Talarath have to say!

Hmm, lots to cover..

First up: http://Exotic-Erotics.com have finally opened their doors! They make adult toys. Formerly, you may know them as 'bb5t'. They are the ones who make the live-cast horse/dog toys for them.
All toys made at EE are made from medical grade silicone so they wont leech materials, discolor or have/retain a smell. They're prices are also very low AND if you order you get a free toy bag for the toy!
Currently my frost wyvern is the only available 3d printed toy from them, but very soon 2 more will be added. That one many would relate to a canine but its actually a unique design.

Don't like what EE has to offer or got an idea for a toy? Head on over the forums! User submitted designs may likely get made :)

Second: My frost wyvern toy

Dimensions:
Total length: 10 inches
Usable length: 10 inches
First bulge: 1.75"
Second bulge (knot): 2.25 (8" circum)

Its 3d printed so it has a unique texture. Go buy it for $63! Also, you can check out my review of it on the forums along with about 25 huge pics to show it off.

PErsonally, I LOVE their livecast stallion toys, I would even breach contract to buy one (I already have one, want a bigger one), but right now their selection is limited, much as Bad Dragon was.

Also, Forums? 3D printing? High Quality Silicone? Detailed toys? Fantasy Toys? Character art? Like I said, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I guess.

*faceclaws* I was kidding....I have no contractual obligation to Bad Dragon. Besides, Varka has one of the livecast toys, he can vouch for the awesomeness of them!

I'll just bide my time becuase I know we're coming out with a horse toy eventually, and I know I'll get one taken outta my paycheque...so no worries.

Also, check out the character art...Something seems awfully similar....

no he doesn't! I've done triple pen with larger toys, I just didn't film it! (Varka, Seadragon, and one of those lovely horse toys, actually!)

That, and I can take the XL gryphon, he can't. if I was to lose to anyone, it'd be Red5hirt, Varka, or Kidsune...not Talon, though I do like talon and am in awe of his 3-toy video.

hey, if a competition has a better product, I encourage you to buy from them! I'm not here to be a good little corporate whore...I Stick with bad dragon because I like it better. How many times have I recommended the new Zetas to people who have a canine fetish? I've actually encouraged (and will continue to until BD offers it's equivalent) people to buy from EE, their livecast stallion models.

Zeta does real animals, and canines

EE does Equines and...well, better equines

Bad Dragon does Fantasy

we all have our niches.

ahhh. well i dont want you or any of the others to hurt yourself. id still say you are first really. well really its more like a four way tie for alot of people with the males here if we were to put it to a poll. red, you, talon, and kidsune. Red for the sheer size of what he can take, talon for the 1080I video quality, you for the awesome pierced, meatectomy cock, and kid for his girly twinkish figure that never looks like it could take stuff that big. id imitate all of you if i could, cept you runa. someone would have to do that imitation on me. i love the pierced cock look, and the meatectomy look. but im bad with piercing and cutting so theres no way i could do it on myself like you did.

you know what they say, any publicity is good publicity!

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1013&p=19677&hilit=publicity#p19677

:)

However, as to an actual response.

Also, Forums? 3D printing? High Quality Silicone? Detailed toys? Fantasy Toys? Character art? Like I said, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I guess.

Forums: Obviously varka invented phpbb forum software ;)
3d printing: Same as that
High quality silicone: Zeta doesnt (Edit: Spaced they merged with Paw. I guess this is null?)
Detailed toys: (c) BadDragon
Fantasy toys: (c) BadDragon
Character art: I got it PERSONALLY commissioned. MY OWN money. I'm NOT paid $1000 a month like you Runa. (http://runa216.livejournal.com/165135.html)
2 - I work for a friend online now, and pull in almost 1000 dollars a month doing something I'd gladly do free of charge.

So, what I post is actually just user stuff. I don't work for EE, I don't have a contract, I don't get a wage, I do everything free of charge.

Also, check out the character art...Something seems awfully similar....

Heres my PM's to Amyth on FA about the commission. His responses are not given as I'm not sure he'd like them posted publicly.

I was just thinking of getting some fan/concept art of my frost wyvern cock design :P
I have no idea on the looks, colors or pose or anything like that.

Wasn't expecting such a fast response :P

It'll also help me with my 3d project for making the guy and animating :)

I still need to come up with a basic color thing for him and definitely a sexy pose.

Any chance you got MSN? ><
FA caches my pages and I dont notice new pms for awhile. Refreshing clears image cache and thats bad with my slow net and limited bandwith :(

I quickly did up a model for reference before I seen this message.
http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/1431/amyth.jpg
Were you thinking something like that? (I know I'm missing the tail) with the ground below?

This other company is called Exotic-Erotics. Its a new name, but they've been doing toys for 5 years now. They were selling thru bb5t and are the ones who did the horse and dog toys for them.

Gimme your idea and we can see if I likey :P

I'm trying to think of an interesting pose showing off both his cock and hole but not done by BD.

original view maybe? :P

I'll give it some thought, I'll be asking a friend for ideas... Usually hes on but whenever I need to talk to someone they're ALWAYS not around
However, I'll probably have a pose by tomorrow around this time.
Dont want to keep you up if you're staying awake for this :P

Oh, as for character originality, I'll leave that one up to you. However, so you know, I'm thinking of possibly leaving it at the sketch stage ><
Dont have quite enough money for color. Being poor sucks :(

Something like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2103586/
On his side, both parts visible.

Cock reference: http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/3302/zeeb.jpg
Bottom right is front view. So you'd have to be looking up from between his legs to see that view. To the left of that one is the side which is from the side of course... To the left of that pic is the back view which can be seen from looking top down.

The design of the wyvern guy is completely up to you.

Also, more good news. Depending on how it looks I MAY be able to come up with the extra $15 for color, will need to see how the sketch looks first though ><

You dont have a problem with the pic going on the site+me uploading to my own FA page?

Hmm, not sure about posting it on the website then ><
This is kind of my own thing aside from 'official' EE business. Have to see.

As for designing, depends on what you mean. If you meant for personal designs, I actually have another I need to get back to work on. If you meant in general, I have 2 designs for friends to do and possibly some official work from EE.

I'll stop posting now, as the design phase was already said.
Essentially, you're trying to flame me because... I helped out EE or your just mad BD didn't get my design? Everyone else look here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2093649/

you should really post this on the forum. I think the community would benefit from it.

So... Anything else you'd like me to add? Possibly why im posting? It seemed pertinent. Why do I still come here? The news blog is never updated and the forum is the only way to find out on developments of the femtoy. Will I still buy from BD? Yes, I will.

Edit:
Also, amyth (the one who did my commission) doesn't work for EE either. Just incase you didn't figure that out when I said my pic was commissioned.

TL;DR:
Thanks for the advertising runa :D

oh, double post. I know.

But I'd also like to add that my first message to amyth about the commission was on April 7th.
The frost wyvern pic was finished in the sketch stage on the 16th.
The finished color image was received on 18th.

As I've always said, competition is a good thing, both for the companies and for the consumers.

Looking at the toys though I have to say I currently prefer the range that Bad Dragon offers.
Mainly because I'm very interested in fantasy toys, only slightly interested in canine toys and not at all interested in equine toys.

Same here...

Though I hope they begin offering awesome fantasy toys soon... Then BD will have to offer even awesomer toys... And EE will have to offer even awesomer... Then BD... And while they 'cockfight' we get the spoils ^^

A Monopoly is bad for consumers, since it means one leading company can rule the market, put out a shitty product, and nobody can stop them. That's why Zeta never used silicone till Bad Dragon became popular...

And Talarath is just talarath, it's how he is. I wasn't dissing EE, in fact, I was complimenting them, but don't think for a second that I miss the frost wyvern.

Essentially, you're trying to flame me because... I helped out EE or your just mad BD didn't get my design?

Nope, not one bit. I'm not flaming you, that would be unprofessional, but at least get your facts straight. your design was declined from Bad Dragon before it was taken to EE, we had no interest in it. I tell EVERYONE to post it on the forums so it can get better, and the more ideas the better.

So, you continue to do your thing, and best of luck, we'll continue to do ours, I can't wait to be alongside you in the fantasy toys category.

Telling me to get my facts straight is quite funny :D

Link to my post about the design (the original): http://www.bad-dragon.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=704
I don't see ANY post about it being declined? I also didn't even post the modified one, since I couldnt get the original looking right in zbrush.

and...

Me asking to have it moved to the discontinued list, along with me answering yours about why it was removed.

Apparently im missing the "bd declined it" part or is that in some staff section? :)

BD doesn't have to explicitly decline it. The community does. And they did.

You explained what happened yourself. People weren't hyped with it.
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=809&start=40#p27794

And it seems like the only reason is because you gave up.

They actually didn't. Incase you were curious as to what I posted, it was a 2d image. Not the 3d renders.
I also even know why the community didnt seem interested, its because the design was hard to imagine as an actual model.

Actually, I'll just clear the whole thing up.

November: I had an idea for a design. It seemed quite unique, I haven't seen anything even remotely like it. So, I decided to start just sketching it out. The design had 3 'bulges' you could say. The head, the midshaft and the bottom. On the bottom bulge, it had almost a > thing sticking up out of it (can be seen in razr's image if you check my FA).

I did it on paper first, then took a pic with my camera and did it in illustrator. This had the bulge and everything, I could imagine the basic shape in my head. No one else could. Not to surprsing, the 2d version had absolutely no definition as to height difference. 100% flat. <--- Reason why people weren't interested. I even asked many people in IRC. I'll try to dig up the logs.

Early december: I put it into 3dsmax and got a basic sketch built. It didn't look like it, so I scrapped it and decided to use a method I learned about in zbrush. I had to get familiar with that anyways for organic modeling.

Late december: My computer starts fucking up, and zbrush now refuses to work and I also hear about EE. So I get in contact with zeeb on it because I like helping out people and he was asking. They seemed interested in getting into 3d printing. I showed him my crappy 2d sketches, he wasn't to impressed but I was told to go on with it anyways and see if it looked better in 3d.

Skip awhile down the road (I think feb?) when zbrush decides to work: Zbrush works, and im working on my toy. Zbrush isnt having a problem. I start sculpting my original idea, but its not coming out the way I want. So, instead I just come up with a variation. Thats the creation of the frost wyvern. EE liked it, and this is about when I stopped posting on BD, but a post came up about copyright and such which is located here:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=952&start=10#p18558

After reading that, I decided I'll just go with EE. Awhile goes by, I post the new toy up on FA and runa chimes in that I should post it here on BD. Thats when I remember I didn't officially close my post and came here to do so.

Awhile later... I posted up my design on FA. The one im talking about is the blue one. I got on BD irc to get in contact with 2 friends who weren't on my MSN list but were in irc. People were curious as to why I needed to talk to those 2, so I let them guess. Eventually they found my design, and IIRC atleast 7 of them said they'd buy.
edit: http://pastebin.ca/1418473 <--- General. I'm waiting for people to get onto the BD irc so I can ask if they dont mind having their convo with me partially posted.

TL;DR
I closed it myself since the community couldn't imagine it as an actual model :P Totally understandable, because at times it gets fuzzy for me too.
If I wanted to get the toy done by BD, I would have posted the 3d sketch.
