Uuugh. I'm at day 20 of waiting for my mini Axel. All I got was a marble, so I figured it wouldn't take more than two weeks. But then again it's been a while since had the money to make an order. Still though, I was really excited about it, now I wish I had just bought a premade toy.

Hit up CS for a status report yesterday.
After two weeks, 3/9 toys done and one being made right at the time. If they keep that pace I should have my stuff by end of March... will get really close but oh well.

It's doing this on opera right now but I'll install Firefox and see what happens then. Hopefully it's just opera.

They killed off the status field a bit more than a week ago. Only way to get per-toy status currently is to ticket support. I've already updated my guide post.

I have submitted a suggestion that they bring back a "simplified" version of per-toy status on the site in the same style as they're manually providing via support ticket anyway, i.e. waiting to be made, currently being made, finished. We'll see what will happen with that...

It actually was unintentional. They knew that the leak existed since shortly after the website launched, but it got stuck in internal review until they finally recently decided to remove access to it. Says they made the plan long ago that they wanted to "simplify" the whole order status to just "processing" and nothing else. Reasoning: Reduce customer confusion, and reduce customer questions about what individual statuses mean.

I...didn't the old website only say "processing" and "shipped"? At least the almost 3 years I was here it did. If anything, now people that had a taste of status codes and could watch their order without bugging CS (unless it was at 90 for X weeks or days) are going to ask CS more often about status of their toys because they don't know what it's status is now..I think?

Meh. If anything, any future purchases I make will just do the usual and email CS after a month if my order is still not shipped.

The old website did say that, but it also had an "im_location" field next to each toy in an order. All in the open, for everyone to see, no digging required. When it was empty it meant the toy wasn't yet made, or was currently being poured. When it was filled you could tell if it was already past QA or not, and when it was warehoused (i.e. successfully made).

"Processing order" does not reduce customer confusion; it might reduce questions about individual statuses, but it'll increase questions on why toys are still processing
