yeah! kind of oily?

I suspect (but I'm not sure) that is has to do with the release agent they use in their molds as it seems to go away after I give the toy a boil.

I get these marks too, so I tend to keep a towel nearby to put my toys on.

^ I put mine on a towel or something, too. Even after many cleans and boils, some of my toys still like to leave marks especially if I SC them to something. I stuck my Terra to the bedroom door, one day, well-over 8 months ago. The mark is still there! XD

I always take pictures of my toys on a piece of wood and noticed the mark as well. Was kinda of worried but noticed no changes to my toys so I assumed it was no big issue. But I am glad it seems to be normal?

Silicone can have a funny way of forming around things over time, pulling fibers off of cardboard with my phone case after leaving it on a box over night taught me this

I hope it's body safe. The stuff used to remove toys from molds that is. Mine were boiled a few times yet still leave the almost greasy residue on the paper in my box o silicocks.

some wood finishes and paper treatments react with silicone. which means: you probably shouldn't let them come in contact too much as the toy might see similar effects. it's also common for toys to absorb colour from paper or rubbery materials.

Considering the marks are left on every surface, it's the toy not the surfaces. This is normal for these toys and its why I ignore anyone claiming anything is 100% safe and has no effect on you whatsoever. The silicone may be inert and non-toxic at room and body temperature, but that doesn't mean you won't absorb any of it or anything it absorbed.

I thought these marks were probably just from silicone oils. This post goes into how soft silicones have a higher volume of silicone oils than harder silicones:

That's why you might notice these marks from BD toys, since they make their toys pretty soft.

I've never had any kind of issue with toys leaving marks on anything? :psyduck:

And I leave them laying around on my wooden computer desk, wooden kitchen table, or suctioning them to mirrors.

What about the marks they leave when you smack someone in the cheek with 13 inches of dragon dong? I mean, that's a mushroom stamp that would never go away... at least not for a day or two... and what if said person had to work? Like what if they were a lawyer going to trial the next day... or a commercial pilot?

I've never had any problems with toys leaving marks.

maybe your toys are picking up oils and crap places and redepositing them on other surfaces?

I can't say I've had issues with toys leaving marks either. :psyduck:

But then again...the only wooden surface they've been on is my old-as-the-hills desk which doesn't have seem to have any kind of finish on it (or it's been rubbed off/worn down after 18+ years of usage). And the only other place I put them is on display on a cotton towel.
I don't wash things down with extensive or strong cleaners either, so I can personally rule those out as well.

i am a paranoid fucker, all my toys go into cotton bags for storage and get the shit boiled out of them often.
i am pretty confident that there is nothing for them to react with, and so far i have not seen any residue at all.
