I think she looks like a Pokemon too! I'm not actually familiar with a lot of the Pokemon past gen 1. I'm only just getting back into it again. So if someone showed me this and said it was a Pokemon I'd believe them fully.

It's a shame the art came later, and there is no backstory.

Since I enjoy reading them. Like I'm not a furry, so the characters are not what I imagine when I use a toy. But I like them any way because they seem like an extra layer of fun. It seems unique to BD and honestly I really like that.

Especially they tend to be cheeky and fun. Like I miss the sense of humour BD used to have.

Like with demon dick I thought it maybe didn't have a story behind it, because it was working with another company? So it's a little sad that this one doesn't either. I really hope they go back to art and stories for their toys.

she is to animal to be a Nixie
to much of a serpent head to be a Kappa
Undine, could be a reptilian Undine

and I don't think BD would of made her a Bunyip

With Dasa's hint by saying "random encounter" I think she's just a Fakemon.

Which begs the question if she's a water type are we going to get a grass and fire type too?

I don't mind her. She's not going on my wishlist for sure since for me when it comes to penetrables it's mostly a visual thing/outer entrance texture, though if I had a peen I'd grab her just for the inner textures, but I do like the character design and her natural color. I will say I really like the idea of BDs own starter fakemon lineup though! We have the water type, now we need the grass and fire types! Though I admit I hope the fire type isn't a dragon style, cause fire and dragons go together too much already. Also, if they are going for a fakemon theme, can we at least get a fakemon name for her! I mean come on what pokemon species would be named Sofia! That's like a pokemon being name Steve!

As someone with zero interest in penetratable toys who also hates BD's recent trend towards generic bios, downplayed art, and decharacterization, the only thing this release offers me is a slight sense of vindication vis-a-vis posts in this thread that I am not alone in missing the days when BD's toys were unapologetically "YO DAWG THIS AWESOME MYTHICAL CREATURE WANTS TO PUT ITS DICK UP YO BUTT, WHY NOT OBLIGE HIM!?!" or "'SUP BROSEF, THIS ANIMAL LADY IS HELLA WET AND WANTS TO BONE DOWN WITH YOU, WILL YOU HELP HER OUT Y/N".

Though FWIW I guess it's still better than another limited edition two-color marble in colors based around whatever movie is hot at the box office this weekend.

Well if the go a pokemon route, why not shock yourself electric? Or have a flying fuck? A psychic would be a total mind-fuck. Who doesn't want one hard as steel.

Nah... we'd probably just get:

At first I wasn't too impressed, the inside looked cool I guess, and since I don't have a peen I didn't really think too much about the release, I was happy for people who had the equipment though, since there aren't so many penetrables on BD...

But now that I saw the character art, it's probably one of the cutest :stick: And I really like it now lol.

I'm just going to say I miss the bios the character background what pulled you into the design the character art the story....how your curiosity might have gotten you to purchase something that seemed so perfect...for example I love David's story and claytons there's a few there I adore....but yeah I miss the bios guys what happened to the part were we get pulled into a hot embrace of a story/introduction of a character hmmmmm????

I was so entranced by the stories that I decided to go around and read them all. Erotic stories are fun to read for sure.

Sofia might fit for a toy based off this http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-372

But it could just be the character art making me think that idk. Lily might fit, but I'm not sure.

to me, it is the context of it all.
like going to a creation deity and asking "why did you make these?" or any artist I guess. if it is art for art's sake.
it's all a "but why? what does it mean? what is this?"

but the BD product line hasn't included anything to use the characters for. resulting in a "did they make a toy to sell a comic series? or a comic series to have merchandises?"

and a "i can buy all these products, and their mascots don't have a lot of merchandise, do you know how hard it is to get a count chococula plushie? dude the're like $5 on ebay, but it's not like they are everwhere"

some times a toy is made for massive collecting. the'll be thousands of ponies, and other little toys. the characters all have a blurb story or personality, "why a green horse with pink and yellow mane, and an ice cream cone 'tattoo'?"
so here we might have "why this weird vagina and butt" or "what is with this horse-cat-ostrich dildo?"
(although what is an Enderfang anyway?)
so, I guess a lot of us here are expecting that from rubber genitalia

I think my question is what's on everybodys mind. What is that thing? However, I doubt that's gonna stop me from getting this. While I shrug off the outside look of this one, even if it looks like something that won't tease as easilly, I love the look of the inside design. And when it comes down to things, that is what we'll be feeling after all. I thought my next would be a marry, but this one could very well beat that one. I'm glad to see that we're getting something where they've put a bit of thought and imagination to the insides :)

I'm actually quite interested in this toy, even though I may lack the equipment for it. But it does raise questions...

Is it a pokemon? It looks like one, and if so, how would a story be introduced? Will it be given the same treatment Alice got as well as Austin to avoid copyright? However even Tyson got his little background. And its just... Sofia. Even Alice is called Alice the Bunny. I just want to know what she IS and if she (as well as others without a story) will get any sort of back ground to their character.

If not, I suggest finding some creative writers. There are many on here qualified that would LOVE the job.

All in all...

Fucking FINALLY!!! Another penetrable toy!!!!

The branding still kills it for me, and a lot of shit BD has been doing in the background has been fucking a lot of people and doesn't sit with me.

The branding is a eye sore and a major distraction IMO :eyeroll:

I avoided naming her species and avoided the use of pokemon in the bio I wrote. Not that hard.

Just like with the fallout characters, change a few things about it. Nocturne is a Deathclaw but the species was changed to Enderfang. Same with Roland. (Rattleyote and not a Nightstalker).
Bumblehooves and Sugar star are based off MLP but again, just a little modification and it's fine.
Dragon Island was basically Jurassic World. Down to the icon being similar.
It's really not that hard. Just a little creative thought to what ____ is and how it fits in around the BD universe.

This! I completely agree.

If Sofia is intended to be a Pokemon, there are so many names they could use for that theme! Heck, they could straight up call her Sofia the Monster.
There are so many ripoff bootleg games trying to copy Pokemon, and they all have obvious names too. They have an awesome opportunity to be creative here!

And she doesn't even need to be a Pokemon or anything specific. Sofia the Water Dragon, Sofia the Lake Monster, the Sea Creature...

Sofia the Manta-drake.
Honestly the name Sofia is also off-putting for a fantasy creature. Sounds like a generic pornstar name imo.

You could call her something different though, and the individual could decide what she is supposed to be for themselves. I don't think it's a lack of effort, I think rather it's a good chance for people to be able to peg the character as whatever comes to them strongest. It's not altogether a bad practice, considering people change existing models to fit their own tastes, who had dedicated species before.
Soooo... I'm doing reviews now! http://doeadeert.tumblr.com/

Maybe they should do a bio contest for every new toy. That would get us a bio without too much effort on their part. Plus the winner could just have their story on the sight for x amount of time with credit.

You know what, I like it. If I had a penis this would be one of the penetrables I would buy. Also, at this point I just try to be positive and use my imagination with the toys I look at without stories.. pictures are always nice though. With Sofia it just gives a mysterious sense to it, which honestly makes me like it too. :mystery:
Be careful, I bite.. :misc2:
