@Arumaeruma @SheWantsTheDragonD

10000% agree with you two.....that kind of attitude is incredibly juvenile, and as you said, stupid and extreme. All people like Raya and Slaanesh achieve with that sort of thing is to make perfectly normal people feel awful and deformed, when they are JUST FINE. As for attractiveness to you personally?

Either state that it's not your preference or shut up about it, instead of making intact OR cut people feel horrible about themselves because YOU have a preference as to what is "acceptable".
Just because I'm not personally attracted to the look of cut ones on real people when I have the choice of intact, I certainly won't sit there and call them "scarred" and ugly for something they have no control over and vice versa....I won't compare an intact person to a mollusk and make them feel insecure and self-conscious over a perfectly normal body part.

Seriously, if you wanna say "Yeah, not a look I go for, but cool that you do!" or even "Yeah, it's not a look I'm personally comfortable with on my partners." is totally reasonable and doesn't harm anyone.
It's honestly people like Raya and Slaanesh that are the reason that we still cut babies without their consent, because the people making those decisions think that a natural penis is "gross."

Seriously, grow up.

ANYWAY, to keep on topic:

New Mary, Lana, most of the stuff from Cockbender, the FB Mammoth and Atlas Lion in any flesh colour.
All the lifecasts from EE except Howard in non-flesh tones. Canine and equine lifecasts really squick me out.
Anything zombie-related, anything that looks realistically bloody (sorry Drac), and 99% of Oxballs stuff.

(no judgement!) tho! LOL.

Even though I don't care about your opinion at all raya, please refrain from talking about uncut genitals like that. It is so sex negative and you don't seem to have the slightest idea of how your words effect people. Same with you slaanesh. This is not an issue to take sides on. If you don't have anything nice to say about either way, don't speak. Simple as that. Nobody should have to read something that makes them feel that way. Even though I know better than to really let it get to me, it's still bs to read. Please grow up.

This whole thread was a bad idea to begin with by the way.

I couldn't agree more. Personally, I'm here on the forums because I love all kinds of penises. And yeah, finding a negative review of any toy I like always does irritate me, and I'm sure it's the same for others.

Joining in here. Talking about the types of TOYS that freak you out is fine, but when it bleeds into how real life people look then that's just reducing people to objects to sexualize and shame.

You know America is like..the only country that circumcisizes males as a standard practice. Just about everywhere else, males don't get circumcised unless it's for a religion that values circumcision (Judaism, Islam, etc).

Me and my husband made a decision that if we ever have a son, we won't be circumcising, and the thought that the hypothetical child could be body shamed because of his penis pisses me off. Though body shaming in general pisses me off, but there's something deeply personal about genitals, so body shaming that is extra nope.

I feel like BD should be a body positive and sex positive place for people to feel safe in, and if they don't have something stating this in their guidelines they should add it in. No hate for the OP of this thread, we were just meant to talk about toys after all

-------

Negative reviews on a toy doesn't bother me, everyone likes different things, and negative reviews can be pretty helpful. If it doesn't work for them, I like to see the reason(s) why in order to judge if the toy will work for me or not. But toys are toys.

Your response was so well thought out and balanced.

I have a cut husband and an uncut son with him, so I totally feel you there. We made what we thought was the best choice for our son, and we obviously want both our kids to feel good about their bodies.

And yes, my point about negative reviews wasn't elaborated very well. It's kind of a knee-jerk reaction to be offended when someone doesn't agree with your preferences. Reviews are great when the author explains exactly why a toy didn't work for her/him in particular.

That all said, I think this thread was meant to be fun, so I don't mean to blame the thread-starter.

I agree wholeheartedly, it should be up the the male to control his own body, not his parents or any other influences. It really is a shame that people make others feel guilty for how they're born.

I think it depends on the what the negativity is about. "This toy didn't work for me for x, y, z reason and I think these particular things may be poor design choices" is fine, but "this toy is bad and anyone who likes it should feel bad" is another story. I think more so I'm disappointed on the behalf of someone else when something I love doesn't bring them the joy it brings me?

Yeah, I think a thread making casual fun about silicone toy shapes is totally fine and funny, but we should keep comments about real life junk out of it.

Yeah, plus why do we have this thread when we already have the long-standing "anti-sessions lounge" thread? A lot of these toy designs are controversial and that is clearly understood, I think threads like this that are an open invitation to discuss the toys that creep us out are just unnecessary and sex negative. Of course this is my opinion, but the thread quickly escalated to bashing real genital types rather than just toys, and honestly come on... Leave the negative criticism to how the toys work in use. No need to knock on other peoples' toy preferences, let alone their genitals. It would be like making a "What songs sound like shit to you?" thread on a music forum. Only this is about sexuality and in a very sensitive way.

edit:this part isn't for anyone I quoted:
I'm only speaking out cause I think it's all sex negative and I want to say something. I'm not really upset or anything, because most of the time something actually upsets me there is no way I could articulate anything at all. Why speak out against people speaking up when they are upset anyway? Here's a sarcastic apology for openly talking about my bad vibes.

I think lots of us struggle with body issues enough as it is. :/

I completely agree, this is a supposed to be a sex positive environment and there is no judgement on whether or not either of you have certain preferences, but going so far as to say "scarred and ruined" or "vomit inducing" is pretty stupid and extreme.

That is why I said ME. They asked a question and I answered it, that simple.

For me when it comes to sex toys in general I don't really like the idea of lifecasts, Just something about them puts me off and the fact somebody had to mold them... Just no for me but power to anyone who likes them I certainly see the appeal just not something I like.

As for BD toys, there are a lot to list but I'll try keep it short.

-Pretty much anything close to a real dick is a no from me (So Blaze, Pearce and Ultimate Fantasy)
-Tentacles have just left that impression on me from porn that makes them really creepy to me.
-Ridged toys not only seem like a pain to clean but also seem like they would hurt or even pull on something a bit.
-Demon Dick just looks way too pointy for me and creeps me out as to what it would actually do to me if I bent wrong.
-Stan... I've seen the XL in use somewhere and something about that just left my brain boggled and scared at the same time.
-Crash's head just creeps me out... Not sure why.
-Apollo... Wtf is going on with that head, Just something puts me off about it.
-Duke and Anthro Dragon are just weird mainly Anthro.
-Tyson for some reason really puts me off. Not sure why but maybe the fact he kinda looks like a pole...
-Hazel not only looks weird on the outside but the inside just looks like it would do something really bad.
-Anthro shark... It's a shark that's really all. Looks weird and the idea is weird
-Natashcha while her insides look amazing the outside really creeps me out.

That's really all that's off limits for me... It's a fair bit but I'm really a huge fan of knots so most of them I like.

I never like it when a toy has random large bumps, DA thinstang is a good example. Just kind of reminds me of a growth or tumor. O and not a fan of piercings.

- Life casts
- Anything that is very closely inspired by a real creature's genitals (so, Sleipnir and Echo are fine, but Chance, UF, and Rex aren't, for example)
- Anything based on children's media
- Flesh tones
- Toe Leopard
- Anything that is obviously made of unsafe materials, like jelly
- Anything that looks like it would be impossible to truly clean (like vibrators with seams between plastic and silicone, which can collect fluids that will never come back out)

Took a while to think of one, and only one that would come to mind.....

Primal Hardwere's Bed Bug. After living through three major infestations (and other tenants of the building not even allowing pest control in or refusing to do the preparations making it a great deal worse), with the third one being rather disastrous to my mental health for a while as it went on for like three and a half months....

The name alone make some go nuh uh, nope, no way... Although the concept of an ovipositor is definitely interesting to me.

Oh wow, I think I'd add the Bed Bug to my list too! I have been lucky enough not to have an infestation, however I did parasitology and university, as part of a biology degree. So they examples we see are all the really bad ones, and really look into detail with what diseases they can carry...

If it helps though, I know it is common for an infestation to have a toll on mental health for a lot of people. So you are not alone with that.

"Toe Leopard", LMAO! I always thought that thing looked like a thumb, but now that you mention it, it does look more like a toe!
I agree with the life casts & flesh tones, especially life casts in flesh tones(Ultimate Nightmare in BD pink)
Animals are ok(like Chance & Rex), although when I was first introduced to them they kinda put me off, but I've grown to except the BD versions at least. And I love using my Chance, He's one of my favs!
Peirce is another one that puts me off. And anything with balls creeps me out(and also usually means no SC), although if I really like the rest of the toy, I'll tolerate the balls(i.e. my Chance & Rhino).

All of the lifecast animals, for the usual reasons. Most human lifecasts give me the creeps as well, with the exception of TnP's Nereid. Can't put my finger on just what about human lifecasts spooks me, especially since I actually really like human shaped toys :mystery:
Pretty much all horse dongs creep me out too, with Slepnir and Bumbles being exceptions since they aren't exactly realistic and I don't really think "horse" when I see them. I give AKN's Cupid a narrow pass, just cause I love the heart shaped head. I really dislike actual horses and I don't like long toys, so that's probably why those models are a no for me.
Other than those, there are toys I wouldn't buy because of various reasons, but none that really freak me out to any degree. Even with horse models, I've owned some previously just to see if they'd work for me. Mainly just the lifecasts that will always be a solid no.
