How do you know you've gone too deep? From what I understand, lower GI doesn't have much pain perception. Also, if I warm up with medium should that be safe to transition to large? If I still feel meh when it's in, then maybe anal play isnt for me, but you only live once so mighty as well experiment (safely).
Thanks for this thread.
Don't worry too much about doing damage without knowing. You will feel it if you're going to hurt yourself. And sometimes you'll feel like you're going to hurt yourself even if you're not. As you're more experienced you'll get to know what that inner ring feels like as you pass it.
The only exceptions to this I've noticed are squirting inside with water that would otherwise be too hot and over inflating an inflatable. Both could go horribly wrong. Easy enough to stop both though. Don't tie yourself to a hot faucet (Just use a bottle and gravity after testing the water with your hand.) And inflate the inflatable, outside of you and count the pumps until it's a size you know you can handle.
Use a good lube. Just plain water based i found is bad lube. Better to get a flavoured one even if you're not going to be tasting it because the flavour adds some stickiness which keeps the whole surface slippery rather than it just running off. Try a lube on a toy and press hard but move your finger/thumb slowly. Cheap plain lubes tend to judder as they don't coat the surface very well making something like stretching more uncomfortable than it needs to be. Oil or silicon based reduce the problem significantly but are annoying to clean and will damage some toys. So far the best water based I've used really is cum lube. Durex massage lube coming in second along with ID Silk; then most flavoured/tingle/heat lubes in third.
P.S. if you'll be doing any cleaning out, which is pretty much required if you're going deep, do it the right way. Clean water is a must. You're going the wrong way so all the anti - infection properties of the digestive system are being bypassed. Whatever you use must be clean. Almost any bottled drink will be sterile and is fine. Mineral or spring water is NOT SAFE. Because it's from a spring it doesn't have strict regulations regarding contaminants as its being taken from the ground not being produced in a factory where water is almost always distilled.
If you're feeling adventurous you can use alcohol but keep the % abv low (More than 7% abv is uncomfortable and high % will keep your butt glued to a toilet for DAYS). Oil in high quantities will have the same effect.
Pulling out is just as important as pushing in. I've had toys that have bulbous heads and after fully inserting the inner ring has closed around the head. So don't be too quick pulling out once you're in!
