I watched Shin Godzilla for the second time with my family. I didn't remember the amount of meetings there are in the movie. I must have just blanked out all of those boring meetings. It is like 90% meetings and 10% Godzilla.

Finally started watching My Hero Academia a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm all caught up! I'm very picky about anime (so much harem/pure moe stuff...), but MHA is really good. *__* I haven't watched anime as it's airing since LWA last year, so it's nice to be able to look forward to a new weekly episode again! I think Himiko and Tsuyu are my favorite characters so far.

Finally got my copy of Venture Bros. Season 6, so I've got something to watch on vacation. Which is great, because I'll need something to make me laugh.

I've heard it's really good! Now that I'm caught up on MHA, I might start that, too.

Another good show from the makers of cowboy bebop, is Space Dandy. It starts off a bit rough and goofy, well the whole show is goofy, but by episode 3 you start to get a feel for Dandys's actual character. Its a really fun show filled with spontaneous absurdity, satire, fantastic and varied animation styles. There are also a ton of legitimate heart filled moments in the show (episode 6). Its a show that feels the producers had an absolute blast making. Both the sub and the dub are well done. I highly recommend Spave Dandy.

At the recommendation from a friend, I started Final Space. I like it. Mooncake is cute! Better (for me) than Rick and Morty, which I found horrible.

SO and I saw it last night and eeeeeeeeeeeee I loved It! Especially loved all their music choices and original scores, case in point the track "You Can't Stop This MotherF**cker". Nothing makes me happier entertainment wise than a dramatic chorus singing dumb lyrics. :stick: Hell, the soundtrack as a whole utilizes my favorite music tropes.

I saw it on Saturday. It's a really good movie. I like that Domino is in the movie. She's lucky but she also causes bad luck to others.

Nice! Bake Off is one of my favorite shows  I have so many Mary Berry cookbooks now, lol. Watching the show really inspires me to try new recipes, especially the signature bakes they start with on each episode. I agree that because the contestants on this series are not overly competitive against each other or catty makes for a more watchable show. There's too much focus on personality clashes on some cooking competition shows, that doesn't appeal to me.

Ahhhhhhh I love this show. The bakes are gorgeous and the contestants are all really nice too.

I've been watching Daredevil for a few days. so far, so good, but I have to reduce considerably screen time, because of life. Oh, well, I guess it makes it even more satisfying when I get to binge watch for a few hours.

The first season is great. The hallway fight scene was amazing. The guy who played king pin did a fantastic job as well. He's not quite comic book king pin but damn did he make Fisk a interesting character.

The second season with the punisher was ok.

Grabbed my external hard drive last night and transferred some anime and live action stuff back onto my desktop. I was feeling desperate for some Top Gear (original UK with Clarkson, Hammond, and May), so I'm re-watching my favorite episodes; I've seen them all so many times that I now just skip around to my favorites.

I keep considering trying to watch Black Clover again, but every time I think of how I need to get through at least the first 5 episodes before it starts getting good I cringe. I cannot stand Asta's voice. I hate dubbed anime (Fullmetal Alchemist (original 2003 anime) is the only one I've watched dubbed and it was fine, but subbed is the best for me), but a friend who has the same issue with Asta's voice gave the dub a try and said that it isn't much better. That and it seems to be a pure shounen anime and while I like shounen just fine, fights that take more than 2 episodes to resolve are unnecessary and aggravating (it was one of several turn offs in One Piece for me and I watched the first 100 or so episodes of that anime). So yeah, I wanted to like it, but that brat's voice made me want to jump through my monitor and strangle him, so I think I'll continue to avoid that one despite the interesting premise with the books and magic. I do have a tendency to avoid stressful anime, I've found, and some that have become really popular are some I don't care for. I tried to watch Durarara 3 or 4 times, but I couldn't watch after the first 2 or 3 episodes. Same with Tokyo Ghoul.

yeah Asta's voice is annoying but it suppost to be. Thats just his character. Seven deadly sins is a pretty entertaining shounen, with decent voice acting both sub and dub.

Durarara was a interesting show as well I preferred the dub, since I hate reading my shows.

I hated Tokyo ghoul. The main character was so winny, I wanted to punch him ever time he spoke. The action was good at least.

Parasite the Maxim? Is also a pretty good show if you want something Tokyo ghoul like, but with good characters.

If you liked one piece watch dbz, Naruto, bleach, fairy tail or Inuyasha.................ok so inuyasha and old dbz wasn't bad. But man do the others become long drawn out snore fests.

Personally have been finding myself going back to a lot of the older toonami/adult swim stuff. For me "the classics"

Speaking of CN if any of you never watched the show Symbiotic titan, I highly recommend that hidden gem if a show. Any show that finds a way to work space age love song by flock of seagulls into it is bad ass in my book.

Oh, I know he's supposed to be annoying. The voice actor does an excellent job of conveying that; to the point that I can't stand to listen to it and it's not worth it to me to put up with it for the plot or anything else.

See for me dubs sound all kinds of wrong to me. I'm so used to watching subtitles and the show itself that I don't really notice it anymore; helps that I can understand enough Japanese to get by a bit. I watched the original 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist dubbed the first time and it was fine, but I went back and re-watched it after with subs instead and I much prefer it. I'll admit that if I'm tired I won't watch anime because I don't always feel like having to track the subtitles, but usually I want something fairly mindless when I'm that sleepy.

Oh, Parasyte is one of my favorite anime and manga; I'm glad they reprinted the manga after the anime got so popular so I have all the volumes of that one. One Piece was okay; I started getting sick of fights taking 2 or 3 or more episodes to complete. I've been watching anime of all varieties since 2007, lol. I've seen the first 100 or so eps of Bleach as well, but I got burned out on it too. I do most of my anime watching on Crunchyroll now, but I have a very large number of anime I downloaded back in 2007 through 2010 or so before MegaUpload got shut down, so I have literally hundreds of gigabytes of anime of all genres to watch, and I've watched pretty much all of them too. But yeah, I have zero interest in Naruto. I'd give Fairy Tale a go if CR had all the episodes, but they're missing 14 through 30 or 50 something or something like that. That and anime that's hundreds of episodes long tends to get so convoluted and repetitive to me; same with manga that's that long. I certainly do love the classics as well.

FT is very childish and simple with the same dumb plot recycled every single season. Find new bad guy, they strong, confilct, then some stupid bs plot device aka the power of friendship or whatever bs they can come up with defeats the bad guy. Do this l like for like 12 seasons. Needless to say I didn't enjoy the show all that much.

Edit: i forgot to add; filler galore!

I'm not too surprised considering how long an anime it is; it's the same tune as all the other shounen anime with hundreds of episodes. The only except to this would be My Hero Academia if it ends up being a long running shounen, but it doesn't have that feel and they do actual breaks between seasons and all.
