I think I'm gonna sell my Trent, even though it was a fancy custom... I took it out of the bag and have barely even touched it since. The marble didn't really turn out how I'd wanted, and seeing the model in person, I don't know if I actually like it that much.

Spring cleaning project: Rehome some toys to make room for new ones.

Managed to get both required engineering homework assignments done today, so that will save me 3-4 hours during the week. I have a chem test tomorrow night that I haven't studied for, but I'll have all tomorrow afternoon, so I'll do it then. It's what I did last time too and I honestly can't bring myself to care enough to try to do any studying today. I maybe should try to do some programming stuff, but I honestly don't really care and I also don't feel the best at the moment anyway. That means the only work I'll have to do before Friday will be 5 problems (some have more than part for a total of 10 parts that are graded) for calculus by Friday night and a programming assignment by Friday night, and my programming lab assignment if I don't get it done during the lab on Tuesday. I probably won't, but maybe I can get it done before the lab on Thursday so I won't have to go it, but it's whatever. The two programming things will be the biggest things I have to do this week, and I don't really care all that much.

It sounds like you've got some major burnout. It's been happening to me too. I took a break from school for the moment just so I can catch hold of reality and my brain. Oh, I'm withdrawing at the end of the semester. I'm going to try to do my best, but I don't care if I get shit grades. I'd have withdrawn sooner, but by the time I made up my mind fully it was too late and I'd have to pay the school my tuition and shit. I'm sticking it out to say I at least tried. I liked the idea of doing this, but actually doing this is not what I had in mind. Factor in taking a liberal arts and languages person and sticking them in STEM and that makes it even worse. I also have 2 degrees already, so I'm over the whole formal schooling thing. I'll just teach myself if I want to learn something.

So I've been considering selling most or all of my toy collection. I haven't used them in something like 5 months and they just don't appeal to me anymore the way they used to TBH I don't even want to get them out and bother with all of them. But at some point I think I'll take one last "group photo" just for a laugh at how big the collection was once upon a time, and then they'll start going up for sale. I could use the money and maybe they will make somebody happy for a while? Because they haven't done that for me in a long time.

I don't want to rush into the decision. Life just hasn't been good for me in general lately and I'm about done with it all, so my feelings on toys might have to do with that. Pretty much have this overall impression of impending doom, more and more shit piling up that I'm not capable of dealing with. This world's not for me and not a place where I can thrive or really even be a part of, and I feel that more every passing day. I'm just going to milk what's left for what it's worth for a while and then who knows :3

So Dinosuar Quest was great! Well worth it. The person in the walking Dino suit did a wonderful job and the animatronic dinosaurs moved very realistically. They even had a predator eating another dinosuar with “blood” flowing out of the wound. The feathered dinos left a little to be desired as they used more fur then feathers but still pretty good.

Funniest moment was that they made the triceratops moo like a cow!

Sounds awesome! I'd love to make a raptor costume for some Halloween/convention shenanigans in the future. I'm leaning towards a feathered version, but I may need to do more research before I commit to anything. I want to be scientifically accurate, aside from the size (I'm smol but not that smol).

If you ever visit St George, Utah go to the local dinosaur dig/museum. It was equal parts fun and educational when my family visited, and the volunteers there are highly knowledgeable on the subject. Some more dinosaur stuff for your fix.

I'm in a similar situation like I still want to buy more but simply don't use them at all... At this point, it's just a collecting thing since I can't really bother to clean and all the preparation needed.

I need a job, but I really don't want to do retail again... But I also have no university degree because my ADHD makes schoolwork impossible (can't take meds for health reasons), so I don't know if I have a choice. Maybe it's just because almost the entirety of my mom's side of the family has degrees, but I feel like it's either "go to school" or "work shitty minimum-wage jobs forever", ugh.

Maybe I can work stock or something. I used to work seafood at a grocery store, and it was kind of hard because I have a cold-related health condition, but I liked how active it was and how there was always some organizing, cleaning, or stocking to do.

Something that has me fairly active, indoors, and requires minimal human interaction would be ideal, haha.

I finally saw The Shape of Water. What a beautiful film. I just love it when movies live up to their hype.

We turn on the lights and I'm just bawling. I look over to my SO and he's misty eyed as well. He smiles at me.

I'll have to keep an eye out for that style of record player in the film. My SO loves it and he's been collecting vinyl lately.

Not sure how to feel when someone tells you to control your anxiety. Yes I will tell my random exploding panic attacks to stay quiet

Yeah but the amount of specialists can't do anything about it because it's really how I am. Can reduce severity at times but I have 0 control over it.
Can't take meds because I always get nasty side effects. So mostly focusing on breathing, cold bottled water and a natural remedy calmer pastille. Can't stop them full stop.

I'm known to be stubborn and blunt at times, got that from my dad, but if people can stop poking me all the time I'm much less snappy. Like forcing me into things, or pressuring me, telling me to go and do things. I'm taking it at my own pace thankyou. Even recommended by a few for me to take it easy and go at a considerable pace.

Need to try and get out the house at one point, want to go and browse some fabrics for my Skaven costume. Visited my nan this week, got some mini brownies, also sat there and watched her bird out in the aviary. Worked out the specie, it's a Goffin's Cockatoo. He screams and makes seagull noises.

We're on Spring Break this next week and I'm trying to figure out what all to do. I might do the 2 hour drive home toward the end of the break, but I don't know for sure. Sunday is supposed to be a nice day, so I was thinking I'd explore the botanical gardens that are right nearby. It's supposed to be rainy tomorrow (again), so I'm planning on doing some cooking. My mom got me some chocolate cookie mix that I just need to add an egg, a stick of butter, and some water to, so I'm going to bake those tomorrow morning/afternoon. We'll see how it goes, lol. Dinner will be spaghetti and garlic bread. It's good I don't really know how to cook for one person (used to helping cook for my parents when my mom was working) since it means I don't have to do much cooking during the week at least as far as dinner is concerned; I usually eat a pretty light lunch. I managed to go ahead and get my chemistry homework done; it was actually stuff that was on the test we just had, but it wasn't due till tomorrow night, so I didn't do it till tonight. I have two homework assignments for engineering that are due the week after the break, so I'll go ahead and do them during the week just to have something to do. I have some calculus problems I can do as well. I need to go through two programming chapters online as well since I majorly slacked off with that class. Oh, I need to write up my lab report from this week's chem lab as well. It's really not much to do at all. Yesterday when I should have been doing other work, I spent an hour or so translating 62 sentences from Latin to English (and a handful from English to Latin); it's all just basic vocab and grammar I still know. I'm mainly doing it all as a refresher so I can get back into reading and translating. For me it's relaxing and rather fun.

Hey all! So, this is gonna seem odd, but does anyone here know how to or know of any good tutorials on how to make a live chat room? Like the old school ones where people can log on, make a new room, join existing rooms, and once there's no one in a room the room disappears. I hope I'm making sense. And just for note I do have programming experience, just not so much with online sites.

I have been thinking about getting a crested gecko for a few days now. I know it is a long-term commitment but I am willing to take care of the gecko for 20 years or more. I just love them so much. I decided that I will wait till we can renovate our office and I then will look into getting one. It may take a few months, but I will be prepared and have everything ready for a new member of the family

I highly recommend buying from a local breeder over a pet store, and joining an active crested gecko forum!

Does your area ever have any reptile shows? Reptile shows are good places to buy reptiles and accessories.
