Grimly Fiendish wrote:Just an idea, but you could always design some more. What about another version for this robot, with a different look?

You could also envision a completely different robot style. What about different robot styles based on decade (1940's, 50's, 60's, 70's, etc) or their purpose (undersea robot, worker robot, soldier robot, etc).

Odds are that Bad Dragon won't make your toy, but it's a good creative outlet, it's good design practice in general and maybe you can hone your design skills, learn a new software, etc. Whenever I learned a new skill (editing video, etc) it was always based around a specific project which motivated me.

Ooh interesting, I could try that *Nods*

Some may require funding just to take attempt on it, some smaller artists might even be willing make it as a mutually beneficial project.

I like blue ritual, well i don't own any of their toys but im waiting for them to upload a how to like they did before. That would really be neat, could even attempt at sculpting them by hand and doing my own lil shop thing?

Blue Ritual herself is rarely there. I don't think she's been updating her social media either, I hope everything's alright.

There's a second Discord chat (Tails and Portholes posted about it on their Tumblr, I don't have a link) that seems like it'll be more active since it's recent. Maybe check both out?

Meh, looks too similar to Crackers IMO. The old design looked better, I think.

I feel like this thread is mostly going off of aesthetics but not function, which is also an important element to design. I was surprised no one brought it up.

Also I think I prefer the older designs as opposed to the latest updated version because they gave me a better idea on how they would work in-use. These two are my favorite and it's not a color thing. The curve in the first one looks like an interesting challenge, but I also like the simplicity and more manageable, humanoid shape of the second one as well (in spoiler below because I can't figure out how to attach things)

LAST-MIN EDIT because I submitted by accident + also tired as fuck: Deleted a lot of text but one key point to be made is to figure out what niche and function your toy serves to have it stand up to others. In this case, Flint, Scorn, and Kelvin.

It seems like the goal is to have a more manageable, plated toy with a rounder head and a humanoid penis, which fits well and serves a purpose that other toys can't (Scorn + Kelvin have pokey heads, while Flint has greater texture). So you're mostly fine. It's just it seems like the toy's curve and girth is changing a lot, so I'm wondering where you're planning to go with that in its final (or semi-final) design?

Also it's a good time to start thinking up character and/or toy descriptions because the writing gives you a better idea on not only how it can sell both to a customer and company wanting to make it, but also give you a better idea on your toy's strengths and weaknesses.

Good luck!
