Ok, totally not complaining, because I think this is kinda cool, but the egg plug I just got, with the dark chocolate color, is kinda weird. It's a beautiful brownish black- but when I took a pic and sent it to my bf, it looks gold.
Now, my room is not a professional camera studio, and the light might be a bit yellow, but this is not something people expect. And, from a distance, the pics go back to being the dark chocolate.
I'd post a pic, but I can't get down to the 2 mb max file size.

Some colors can have a two-tone affect (like "sharkskin" fabric). I believe it's called an interference additive (?) If I'm not mistaken, it's an added metallic pigment (different than the main color) which reflects light at certain angles. It's an awesome effect. A camera flash would really bring it out, I think.
I have a toy like this in "peridot green" which has a subtle greenish-golden sheen.
